REALLY!

When I pulled this item out of the packaging I was stunned as to how little quality I was getting for my money. $89 for a what I feel is a flimsy low end design. Guaranteed for life because they can afford to replace them every year until you simply lose it and cannot return it again. I purchase a $25 ***** umbrella which was much larger 54" - and still under 15" - closed. It is a better quality design than this umbrella. I just do not get these reviews. If it was a $25 umbrella I could live with the quality but for $89 you have to be kidding me. Is there some sort of status symbol going on here that I am not aware of? They did accept my return without question. Did not refund the shipping. Pros: - Nothing. Cons: - Cost-Quality-Size too small. Merchant Response:

For my wonderful Aunt's 88th birthday, she wanted a YELLOW umbrella...where on earth would I get
an all yellow one, and a great one? I am beyond thrilled that I found just the perfect one, on your site.
The Davek umbrella is PERFECTION! She is very happy, and having found it for her makes me so
pleased. It isn't easy finding a gift for someone who has everything. Pros: - Perfect color, size, quality, and manageability.
A perfect thing!

This is an excellent example of form following function. It is small enough to fit comfortably along the top of my small shoulder bag but so well constructed that it actually provides protection. Unlike the micro-umbrellas I see, which focus on being small and pretty rather than useful, the Davek provides a dry roof above my head instead of a frightened floppy pancake. And the shade of red is really appealing. I have never bought disposable umbrellas from street vendors (I live in NYC) - when I buy something it needs to last. Pros: - Heavier fabric.
Sturdy frame.
Comfortable handle: leather wrap makes it warmer to hold.
Strap and clip--brilliant! Cons: - This space left intentionally blank.

Sturdy umbrella fit for one person only. Push button for open/close is handy.

I bought this umbrella to take on our trip to London and Paris. It worked perfect. Was even small enough to put into my travel purse. It received a couple of strong wind gusts and did not turn inside out. This is a keeper.
I'm sure it will serve me for many years to come.
