Male-pattern baldness is a chronic type of baldness that manifests itself through thinning temples, prior to reaching the top of the head, until only a temporo-occipital crown is left. In subjects suffering from this type of thinning hair, the anagen phase is shorter, resulting in the premature depletion of hair. It is also characterized by a reduction in hair diameter and an increase in the percentage of very fine hair. Moreover, the lag phase between hair falling out and new hair growing back in becomes longer.
This type of hair thinning concerns mainly men (30% of 30-year-old men, 40% of 40-year-old men and 85% of 65-year-old men), although women may also be affected.
Developed by PHYTO laboratories, PhytoLium (replacing PhytoAxil) uses an all-natural three step process to restore hair's normal life cycle and to prevent premature thinning.
