Definitions of Commonly Used Spanx Terms

Hide & Sleek Collection: This line features seamless designs and a more durable fabric compared to the classic hosiery line. The fabric features a cool, slick material that wicks away moisture and won’t stick to clothes. The Hide and Sleek collection is designed specifically as a smoother, to help with any unwanted bulges and/or cellulite. These items are designed to last years in your wardrobe.

Slim Cognito Collection: Items in this line were designed to provide the most shaping and slimming possible. These products are knit on a seamless machine versus a hosiery machine and are made with soft slick luxurious yarns that won’t cling to your clothes. All Slim Cognito Styles are designed with multiple zones of compression to flatter your figure, slim lift, and shape in all the right places. Along with great shaping, Slim Cognito items are designed to last years in your wardrobe.

Classic Hosiery Collection: Items in this line include original Spanx designs such as the footless pantyhose and power panty. These items offer soft bands to prevent bulging and a cotton gusset so that items can be worn as underwear. Classic Hosiery items tend to last between one wearing to several months depending on how the item is cared for. Spanx items with a nylon leg need delicate care when putting on, their nylon legs are more durable, but similar to nylon pantyhose. They can run if you are not careful.

Super Control: This is the highest level of control available within the Classic Hosiery Collection. Items featuring Super Control have an extra tummy control panel, creating fantastic (and comfortable) slimming results.

Double Cotton Gusset: the overlapping flap design of the double cotton gusset allows for easy trips to the ladies room "when nature calls".

Zoned Compression: unique to the Slim Cognito line, each zone has its own unique job of making you look better in your clothes. Slim Cognito items are designed with extra tummy control, butt lift and separation, and even love handles zones that reach all the way to the back of the garment.

Invisible Reinforced Toe: offered in all Spanx full length pantyhose, the barely visible reinforced toe makes the item more durable without unsightly lines.
