Just like the Kettler HKS Happy Navigator Tricycle, the Kettler HKS Happy Air Navigator Tricycle features Rear Wheel Steering, a feature that makes it easier for mom or dad to steer with a simple twist of the push-bar. With the steering mechanism activated and the parental lock turned on, all the steering is controlled with the back wheels using the push-bar.
Once the child is old enough to take control of the tricycle, the navigation mechanism is turned off and the Air Navigator functions as a normal trike. However unlike the Navigator, the Air Navigator boast Kettler's Komfy-Ride Air Tires, providing superior performance for the smoothest ride in town.
All HKS models have been tested up to a 400 pound frame weight limit, include a lifetime frame warranty, five year anti-fade paint guarantee and includes a push bar. Kettler HKS Trikes are manufactured in Germany.

Worth the extra price for the comfy, quiet ride on air tires! Bought for our 13 month old, 27 lb grandson and he loves being pushed around on this trike since he's tired of the confines of a stroller!

The Kettler Trike is worth every penny. My 3-year old wanted one for her birthday - she can either pedal or steer but not really both at the same time. Since you can choose to limit the turn radius 3 degrees she can pedal her heart out and go relatively straight. Once she learns to steer better we just flip the switch on the front of the trike to open it up to a 45 turning capability. She is a big-girl so we opted for the Navigator - you can telescope the frame to make it longer and as a big 3-year old she is on the closest setting with plenty of room to grow. The handle bar and option to steer from the back make it easy to either assist her with riding the trike, or just push her home if she is tired of riding the trike. The bell is her favorite so make sure to add that and a basket to your order. Also, I am very adept at assembling things but the directions are somewhat unclear - it took me 2-hours to assemble. Spend the $15 and have them do it for you!! The trike is super sturdy and I love the air (pneumatic) tires for a smooth ride.
