Royal-Pedic's skilled craftsmen hand layer the organic staple cotton padding on each side of the innerspring unit to ensure a consistent, supportive sleeping surface. No polyurethane foam padding is in the mattress, so you have lasting support for your body and a healthier sleeping environment.

The layers of organic cotton padding are supported by our heavy duty, 10oz. 100% organic cotton canvas fabric to prevent the cotton from pocketing into the coils. In comparison, many brands of mattresses use an under carpet like support pad that is comprised of ground up scraps of various synthetic materials that are hot glued to a nylon webbed backing.

Additional layers of all natural latex are added above the organic cotton padding for added comfort and cushioning.

Royal-Pedic inner hand tufts the old fashioned way with European tufting straps to further pre-compress the organic cotton padding for orthopedic back support. Royal-Pedic's does not use buttons to tuft their mattresses because buttons have a tendency to turn on their side creating an uncomfortable sleeping surface.

The mattress is covered in Royal-Pedic's luxurious 100% organic cotton ticking woven in Germany, which ventilates body heat, is free of chemicals, and has a sateen smooth feel, rather than a canvas like feel. In contrast, most brands of mattresses use shinny polyester fabrics that contain chemical flame retardant.

Comprising the pillowtop portions of the mattress, the luxurious German woven organic cotton fabric is quilted with layers of our pre-compressed, chemical free French wool to provide a temperature controlling layer, additional comfort, as well as a fire barrier without using chemicals, followed by generous 2 1/2" thick layers of all natural Talalay latex for pressure point relief and plush "loud like" comfort.
